Simmons T&L - The Dr. Sherril English Beginning Teachers Institute Registration Form

    The Beginning Teachers Institute (BTI) is a free, one-day professional development experience designed to support and empower early-career educators.

    Hosted by the SMU Simmons School of Education and Human Development Department of Teaching and Learning, BTI brings together expert faculty, instructional leaders, and fellow educators for a day of engaging, practical learning. This institute is designed to equip teachers with tools they can immediately apply in their classrooms while also providing a space to connect, reflect, and grow alongside peers.

    Date: May 7, 2026
    Time: 8am - 3pm
    Location: SMU Campus – Harold Simmons Hall

    What’s Included:

    • Up to 6 hours of PD credit
    • Breakfast and lunch provided
    • Access to expert-led sessions
    • Networking with educators across the DFW area

    There is no cost to attend. Space may be limited, so early registration is encouraged.
